borachon261 StarTravelled to Curry's at Garthdee to buy a TV, braving horrendous winds and snow. They claim to have a price promise, where they will match any price at a store or online. They list Amazon on their website as a price match competitor. The TV I wanted was 1199. Amazon had it in stock for 1159. The young lad who served me was very helpful, but the manager wouldn't price match the 40 quid saving, saying it had to be "ready to go" from Amazon, whatever that means. It was in stock, so who knows. So I left empty handed. I don't see the point in having a price promise if it's just for show. I find it bizarre anyway that they'd let me walk over 40 quid.
